About Us
The vision for On-The-Ground Toronto (OTG) emerged through our connection to, alliance with, and partnerships with a number of community-based groups and individuals doing independent street outreach.
These groups and individuals are working to support people in precarious situations related to housing and food security, and they are typically self-funding their work.
They are activists in the literal sense of the word, often without the ability, time, or capacity to access traditional avenues of funding, or are constrained by systemic barriers that make formal funding difficult to obtain. By extension, they are also unable to scale their work to reach even more individuals in their communities.
